As an Implementation Specialist, Abdi brings great enthusiasm and a never-ending curiosity for learning and applying new concepts to the Grantbook team, particularly related to enterprise applications and cloud development/infrastructure. 

Prior to joining Grantbook, Abdi worked for two years as a technology consultant, primarily for the financial sector, with a focus on developing applications with user-experience in mind (UX Design, Task Assignments, User Portals, etc.).

Abdi is skilled in process mapping and process improvement, as well as requirements gathering and translating them into functional components. 

Abdi acquired his Bachelors of Commerce in Business Technology Management from Ryerson   University, as well several industry-recognized certifications including Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, and Mulesoft Integration Associate.  

Abdi has a long-held passion for philanthropic work—in his youth he volunteered for Jays Care Foundation, and Green Collar Corps (a youth program that champions environmental stewardship). He recently helped form a not-for-profit food initiative called IFCommunities that tackles feeding marginalized communities and building social cohesion.
