Rafin was deeply involved in the software sector for over ten years. It started as a hobby, building mods and hosting servers for established computer video games, then moved onto building websites and applications for artists and small businesses. While attending business school and working in the service industry for over five years, Rafin decided to turn his hobby into a career.
Before his time at Grantbook, Rafin trained as a full-stack web developer from Lighthouse Labs and obtained a certificate in Full Stack Web Development. He also worked as a Salesforce Developer at YOVU Office Phone in London, Ontario, building automations, tools, and engines for the sales and tech support teams to help expedite existing processes for the company.
Despite spending most of his time in the technology sector, Rafin is no stranger to working with nonprofits. He interned for over two years at UNITY Charity as an assistant Festival Coordinator, helping facilitate and develop programming for their festival dedicated to showcasing local hip-hop artists across the Greater Toronto Area.
Outside of his time at Grantbook, Rafin spends his time facilitating the arts & culture scene within Toronto. He enjoys collecting records, matinee movie nights, and skateboarding around the city.
