Monica delights in creative tech problem-solving and figuring out that one small solution that will make users' lives easier. Prior to joining Grantbook as an Implementation Specialist, she worked at Pro Bono Ontario, a charity that connects low-income, marginalized individuals with volunteer lawyers for legal advice and advocacy, and was responsible for all their tech needs: from sysadmining, training, and tech support to researching, recommending, and implementing tech solutions. Highlights during her time at Pro Bono Ontario include spearheading the organization's transition to Salesforce, and converting a series of long, legalese-heavy application forms into streamlined, plain-language ones with automation.
A licensed paralegal, Monica is proficient in housing, small claims, and employment law, and passionate about access to justice. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading, and trying out new recipes.
