Kashfia has over twelve years of experience in the international (public and private) non-profit sectors (including national and multinational agencies). Throughout her career, she had the joy of wearing many hats. She has designed, managed, implemented and contributed to various market systems development, and value chain projects in South Asia (Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Nepal), South East Asia (Vietnam), as well as some parts of Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Liberia, and Sierra Leone). She has provided her expertise to various sectors, from women empowerment, rights-based advocacy, and extreme poverty alleviation to tourism and aquaculture. She contributed as a portfolio manager in business development, communications and gender lead, grants writer, lead researcher, etc. She has experience in both in-person and remote management.
Kashfia studied Development Studies at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and did Business Administration (Marketing) from Bangladesh. She worked for organizations such as BRAC, CARE International, Swisscontact Worldwide, Scope Global etc. During her transition from Bangladesh to Canada during the pandemic, she worked for York University as a researcher for a food security project.
As a Research Analyst (PSC), Kashfia will strive to become a knowledge domain of Grantbook's extensive utilization of systems.
Aside from work, Kashfia enjoys reading, doodling, a good cup of tea, and long hugs from her two daughters.
