Iris Gao is a Software Implementation Intern at Grantbook for the Winter 2021 term. Her role is to implement various software solutions for grant making organizations. Iris is a Candidate for Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Business Administration Double Degree at University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University, currently majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics and Finance. 

Iris has always been passionate about working in the philanthropic sector. She has worked with many nonprofit organizations as a social justice advocate including WE Charity, African AIDS Angels Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Project C.U.R.E Organization. By working with Grantbook, she will gain project management and consultancy experience, and have the chance to contribute to the philanthropic sector by helping grantmaking organizations increase their efficiency and impact. 

Prior to joining Grantbook, Iris participated in various case competitions as a Consultant, Business Analyst, and Insurance Risk Analyst. She developed strong analytical skills, and gained experience in building business models, conducting market research, and data analysis. With this co-op term, Iris hopes to gain exposure in the consulting and system implementation process.
